For the past three weeks a group of 15 Boston teens in our Teen Urban Tree Corps program have been spending their days learning about tree biology, physiology, and identification. Tree walks, learning from experts, and tomorrow they get to learn how to prune with Boston's Tree Warden, Max Ford-Diamond.

They are also working on final projects in which they will create a tree planting and maintenance proposal for their neighborhoods. They have been visiting different sites in their communities in which their projects will take place. To help them with their project they have also been learning about green infrastructure and site planning.

Keep an eye out for these teens in their bright yellow SFTT hats as they explore the streets, trees, and parks of Boston. And stay tuned to this newsletter as we share with you updates about them and their work.

We have been so happy to see so many people interested in trees at the events we have tabled at so far. Thanks to the Roxbury/Dudley Town Common Farmers Market, Patagonia Cambridge, and Roxbury Unity Parade for welcoming us to connect with locals at your events.
