Yesterday was the 51st anniversary of Earth Day. We saw great energy across the city and across the country raising awareness about issues of environment, race, and equity, including President Biden's commitment to reducing carbon emissions. For Tree People, we're super excited for next Friday, April 30th, to gather and celebrate Arbor Day. This year is the 149th anniversary of the holiday, first celebrated in 1872 in Nebraska. This year we're getting rooted with events every day next week - starting with a guided tree meditation tomorrow, April 24th, and running through May 1st with a tree giveaway and another tree meditation. In between you can learn about how trees communicate, the relationship between trees and faith, pests and trees, the most common trees in Boston, and so much more. See below and online to register for events. |
