Many of our staff will be in Washington, DC, for the 2nd ever World Forum on Urban Forests. We're excited to learn about how other cities are using trees to help build resilient communities. We even have the opportunity to share a bit about our work and our community tree walks. On Monday our Community Outreach Manager, Jerel Ferguson, and our Executive Director, David Meshoulam, will be part of a panel entitled "Barefoot in the Park: How contact with nature can affect our health and wellbeing." We look forward to returning invigorated and filled with new ideas.

During the 2023-24 school year, we are continuing to provide paid work opportunities for Boston youth ages 14-18. The program runs Monday-Thursday from 4pm to 6pm at our offices in Fields Corner, Dorchester. The teens are required to attend at least twice per week.

Participants will care for trees, create social media content and educational resources, participate in outreach activities, and assist in the planning and hosting of our second annual Teen Tree Summit!
