It was exciting to finally present our work at the Exploring Trees and Equity in Boston through Literature event; having a poetry reading from the poet, Erica Charis-Molling, was a great addition to introduce our LibGuide." - Ricardo

Nearly 20 people joined a zoom roundtable on "Trees, Faith, and Tradition" to hear from Rev. and Chief of Energy, Environment, and Open Space Mariama White-Hammond, Rabbi Shoshana Meira Friedman, and Professor Chris Ives. The speakers explored trees as a space of hope, rebirth, and change in the era of climate change.

Oh what a day for the first Savor the Square event of 2021! It started rainy and cold, but by 10am the skies cleared and the trees arrived. Before we knew it, all 125 trees - a mixture of redbud, black tupelo, bur oak, and others - found a new home in local residents' yards. There was music, food, and vendors sharing their crafts and EJ work, including tables from ACE and Friends of MCB. Thank you for our partners, especially The American City Coalition and Natixis, for supporting the event. We look forward to making this an annual event. Stay tuned!
