Next week is GivingTuesday. (Yes, we know - you've probably seen a lot of asks.) We hope Speak for the Trees is on your short-list of nonprofits to give to. Our goal for our End Of Year Campaign (from GivingTuesday through the December 31) is $30,000. Thank you, in advance for your support.

On its completion this year, the Boston's City Hall plaza has been retrofitted to be more accommodating for all Boston residents. As part of this project, the city has replaced staircases with ramps and made surfaces more accessible for "Boston's disability community." And the space is greener too! The city has planted 250 trees to reduce the the plaza's urban heat. In addition, the trees will be watered through stormwater runoff generated by the plaza. In partnership with Artisans Asylum, we invite you to join us for a free workshop session: “Nature Collaging: Art with recycling and organic materials”  This session will Inspire creativity and environmental thinking about trees. Learn about Tree Equity, Urban Forestry and identifying local trees, all while creating your own collage.

Join us and our partners for an Environmental Action Summit on December 13 from 6:30-8:00 pm. Learn about the threats to Boston's tree canopy and the dangers of PFAS and artificial turf.

For the past several months, our Education Fellow from the College for Social Innovation, Victoria Leda, has been taking the lead on teaching lessons on tree equity and tree identification to children and youth throughout Boston.
