Thrills, chills, and animals await you at Franklin Park Zoo's Zoo Howl, where children throughout New England are invited to trick-or-treat among the animals! Join the haunted happenings such as the mystery animal encounters, trick-or-treat trail, and our own leaf and bark rubbing activity. Come trick-or-treat and learn how you can play a part in growing and maintaining Boston’s urban forest by planting trees or helping as a “volun-TREE-er”!

As Massachusetts envisions a fossil fuel-free future, gas companies are quietly investing billions in pipelines

Over the past year we've been working closely with our friends at the Gas Leaks Allies to raise awareness about how gas leaks suffocate and kill trees. The news about gas just gets worse. This week GLA released a new report that finds that Massachusetts’ gas pipe replacement program is no longer financially sound and is not meeting its goals. Intended to increase safety and reduce emissions, the Gas System Enhancement Program (GSEP) has become a massive boondoggle. Projected to exceed $20 billion, it’s the Big Dig you’ve never heard of.
