Help us welcome Laurel Clark as our new MassCEC Summer Intern! Laurel is studying Environmental Analysis and Policy as a rising senior at Boston University. After spending her youth in a region of many food deserts, her interest in environmental justice grew out of her passions for food justice and the outdoors. She is excited to advance her understanding of tree equity and urban forestry, and to contribute to the work of Speak for the Trees Boston as an intern.

We would like to thank the US Environmental Protection Agency for awarding Speak for the Trees a $75,000 grant to focus on tree walks and tree stories. The grant, "Community Tree Stories:
Exploring Healthy Environments in Three Boston EJ Neighborhoods" will explore the relationship of community members and their local urban forest. Stay tuned for updates about how you can get involved and join us for these community walks.
