The Boston Foundation recently announced a new project: the Boston Climate Progress Report - and we're proud to be on the Steering Committee! This report is the culmination of years of discussion with the Environment Department in the Boston Mayor’s Office and their partners at the Green Ribbon Commission. The genesis of this report was the City of Boston’s climate resiliency plan and its reputation as a leader in advancing city-based climate action. We're excited for the opportunity to share in our expertise of how trees can be part of a future rooted in climate justice and equity. The research will be led by an amazing team at Northeastern University: Joan Fitzgerald, Ph.D., Professor of Public Policy, Ted Landsmark, Director, Dukakis Center, and Kaitlyn Alarez Noli, Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Health Sciences. Joining them is Michael Jay Walsh, Ph.D., Independent Consultant. The Boston Climate Progress Report is set to be released at a forum towards the end of this calendar year.
