Students from the Murphy School in Dorchester were joined by Mayor Wu and members of the PowerCorps program to plant a Dawn Redwood tree - gifted by the Arnold Arboretum. This is one of 10 dawn redwoods that will be planted throughout the city in the coming weeks.

Our second tree giveaway will be happening this Saturday, 10/29 from 11am to 3pm at Artisans' Asylum in Allston. Head to our website to reserve your free tree. Trees include: Paperbark maple, Corinthian linden, River birch, Seven Sons flowers. First come, first served.

Teens work 5-10 hours per week.

On October 23rd, volunteers from Speak for the Trees, Tree Eastie, and Temple Ohabei Shalom planted 9 trees at the Chevrus School apartments to commemorate Temple Ohabei's 180th Anniversary. The trees were chosen to beautify the grounds, shade the sidewalk, and filter air pollution and were the second installment of plantings in East Boston. In the spring 9 Magnolia trees were planted by the Boys and Girls Club in East Boston.
