Join the Teen Urban Tree Corps and become part of a team that is working to improve Boston’s urban forest through education, tree care, and tree plantings
As a member of the Teen Urban Tree Corps School Year Program (TUTC SYP) you will meet with professionals in the field of urban forestry to explore these topics with activities that include:
- Designing your own tree planting project
- Exploring careers in urban forestry
- Assisting Speak for the Trees with outreach events
- Learning about tree biology, their benefits, and the importance of a strong urban forest
- Learning about tree equity
Teens will work 5-10 hours per week and will be paid through Boston’s SuccessLink program. Pay is $14.25 / hour through 2022 and $15 / hour starting in 2023.
