In partnership with Families Creating Together, we invite you to join our free workshop session; "Nature
Collaging: Art with recycling and organic materials.” This session will inspire creativity
and environmental thinking about trees. Learn about Tree Equity, Urban Forestry and
identifying local trees, all while creating your own collage.

Wondering what you could be doing to keep your trees healthy? When to call an arborist, and how they can help? Join Lexington Living Landscapes and Cary Memorial Library for an educational workshop with arborists Stephen Vernon and Greg Mosman to discuss what every homeowner should know about their trees.

Save the Date! Join us on November 30th from 6pm to 7:15pm as we celebrate the people who helped grow Boston's urban forest in 2022. This will be both in person and virtual event. Details coming soon. 

You're probably starting to see a lot of reminders. So here's one more: Don't forget, Tuesday after Thanksgiving, November 29th, is GivingTuesday. This year we hope to raise $30,000 to support our work.

We are thrilled to share with you the artwork of Anthony Apesos (shown to the left) now on display at the second floor of the Fields Corner Business Lab (our offices!) Mr. Apesos is an amazing artist, many of them of trees. He was generous to support us at JP Open Studios and we're so excited to be able to share his art with the community.

Come by the Quincy Lee Event Space at 1452 Dorchester Ave on on November 15 from 4:00-7:00pm for light refreshments, catch up with your fellow members and to meet the Mr. Apesos.

On Saturday, October 29th, we held our final tree giveaway of 2022. This event was sponsored by Stop&Shop, co-hosted with Allston Brighton Tree Alliance, and held at Artisan's Asylum. We gave away over 40 trees to some very excited local residents to plant in their private yards. Allston has one of the lower tree canopy coverages in the city and with its narrow streets sometimes yards are the only places trees can go. As they grow and mature, these trees will provide respite, shade, and beauty to the neighborhood.

As part of its new environmental justice grant program, Blue-Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts awarded us $70,000 in funding and as well as pro-bono support over the next two years. We're honored and thrilled for this partnership.
