100 New Trees Find Homes!
50 new trees in Mattapan and 50 in Dorchester
And 50 more coming to Brighton

Spring has sprung in Dorchester! On May 11,Speak for the Trees hosted our second tree giveaway of 2024 at The Food Project. We gave 50 FREE trees to residents to beautify their homes and neighborhoods and make a lasting environmental impact to cool and clean Boston’s air. Community members chose from a variety of species, including Kousa Dogwood, Carolina Silverbell, Sourwood, Sweetbay Magnolia, and Stewartia. A huge thank you to Texas Roadhouse and the Arbor Day Foundation for their generous sponsorship, and to all the enthusiastic residents who came out to adopt a tree. Together, we're making Boston a greener, healthier city, one tree at a time!

Help Us Name Our New Truck

We're looking to name our new Ford F150 Lightning Truck and have decided to have some fun with it!

Do you have a suggested name? We’re looking for something fun, playful, and exciting! If so, head over to https://treeboston.org/name-our-truck/ and provide us with a suggestion. We'll choose our favorite three and then hold a public vote. If your suggested name is chosen, we'll pick you up in our truck for a fun day of tree watering with our staff. Names referencing trees are encouraged!

Some things to know about our truck to get those creative juices flowing:

1) It is *all* electric… (which means less air pollution and less noise)

2) We'll be using it for watering trees we've planted around Boston...

3) The truck sometimes tows a trailer with it.
