Meet our new team members...
And a job opening!

Meet our newest board member,
Liz Luc Clowes, ASLA

We're thrilled to welcome Liz Luc Clowes to our board! Liz brings her experience from project management in financial services and not-for profit administration to the sustainable landscapes of her designs today. She designs textural and resilient landscapes in educational and residential settings. The Micro Healing Forest of Codman Academy in Dorchester brings ideas of teachers, community, partnership, and her creative solutions together for the increase of canopy and an innovative educational setting. Liz holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from Boston Architectural College and an MBA from Babson College.

We also wanted to take a moment to thank Melinda Vega whose 3-year term expired last month. Melinda was one of the first board members to join Speak for the Trees in 2018 and brought her years of expertise, passion, and commitment. Her wisdom and insight will be missed.

Erin Baker, Fall MassCEC Intern

Erin grew up in the Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California, where she discovered her love for nature. Throughout junior college, she advocated for stronger environmental policies on her campus . Upon transferring to UC, San Diego, she was introduced to environmental justice and knew that she'd found her path to making the world a better place. Since then, Erin has become passionate about restoring and protecting our planet in a way that leaves no one behind. Erin currently also serves as the Communications Lead at Greenstand, a nonprofit that provides mapping services to tree planting organizations. She is so excited to bring her enthusiasm to Speak for the Trees and help spread the message of tree equity throughout Boston.
