TUTC Youth Spotlight

Starting this week, our newsletter will feature a teen bio from our a participant in our Teen Urban Tree Corps program. This week Jack Churchill shares what he's learned about trees and what he's looking forward to in the School Year Program.

Jack's favorite tree is the Norway Maple, despite being an invasive species, because he has a massive Norway Maple tree in his backyard that provides him with many benefits like shade, cool air, and saves his family money. His favorite fact about trees is that trees have been proven to make people healthier and reduce childhood asthma along with other diseases. Jack is looking forward to the day in which they are able to put his team's planting plan into action, which continues to grow closer and closer!
