TUTC Annual Report & Youth Spotlight

This week's featured Teen Urban Tree Corps program teen is Johanna. She shares with us her favorite tree, what she's learned during the TUTC Program, and what she is looking forward to in the School Year Program.

Johanna's favorite tree is the Japanese tree lilac because of its beautiful colors. She was very surprised to learn about redlining and how it related to how many trees there are in different neighborhoods. Her favorite part about TUTC so far has been the chance to visit the Arnold Arboretum and to go tree climbing during the summer program. Johanna is looking forward to having permission to plant on their chosen site.

We would also like to share TUTC's Summer 2021 Report. It's been a long time coming, but we're looking forward to summer 2022 as we reflect back on 2021.
