David Meshoulam (he/him)
Co-Founder & Executive DirectorDavid (pronounced Dah-veed) is Co-Founder of Tree Boston and currently serves as its Executive Director. Prior to founding the organization, David was a science educator at the high school and collegiate levels where he engaged students in expanding their understanding of science through the lens of politics, sociology, and history. A life-long environmentalist, his passion lies at the intersection of science, history, democracy, justice, and the environment. He holds a BA in Philosophy of Science, an MA in History of Science, and a PhD in Science Education, Curriculum and Instruction. He is a Senior Fellow at the Environmental Leadership Program, a graduate of the Green Communities Leadership Institute, and served as co-chair of the Urban Ecology Collaborative. Jerel Ferguson (he/him)
Director of Community Outreach & EngagementJerel has a profound love of nature, trees, and the Great Outdoors. A true tree hugger, he encourages urban youth and families to participate in and experience an active life in the outdoors by hiking, camping, and more. Jerel is an herbalist, a forager, and an established outdoor leader. He has a passion for growing and cooking food, he's also an urban farmer and gardener.
Lisa Crist (she/her)
Director of AdvancementLisa is a seasoned communications and fundraising professional with a background in strategic marketing and nonprofit development. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, including roles at Harvard Business Publishing and the Los Angeles Times, and co-founded a consultancy focused on independent schools. Lisa holds an MBA in Marketing from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree from Earlham College. She loves the energy of a city and also enjoys hiking with her family.
Fitgee Jean-Pierre (he/him)
Director of FinanceFitgee was born and raised in Boston, is a Boston College alumni and member of the Janey Scholars. He graduated in 2022 with degrees in both business and African Diaspora studies. He is a former member of FACES, an anti-racism group based in Boston College and was an administrator of Black at Boston College, an online forum allowing Black students to share their stories of discrimination. He was previously interned at Loomis Sayles, where he then took on a full-time position as a Portfolio Analyst
Joshua Reed (he/him)
Education ManagerJosh is interested in environmental and economic justice policy issues and passionate about volunteerism. He believes strongly in educating youth on environmental justice and sustainable development. Previous to SFTT, he served in the Peace Corps in Comoros as a TEFL Volunteer and also joined local Comorians in various sustainable environmental projects. In AmeriCorps he served as a Volunteer Manager for the nonprofit Opportunity Living. He is a lover of nature and explores new hiking and camping spots throughout New England. He recently completed his MA in Applied Politics at Suffolk University.
Lily Bonilla-Reyes (she/her/they/them)
Tree Planting ManagerLily was born and raised in East Boston and is a recent PowerCorpsBOS graduate. As a Boston native they have experienced first hand how lack of tree equity and lack of green spaces in our city has affected our ability to connect with each other and our earth. Lily is passionate about creating, maintaining, and conserving urban green spaces, while making sure that they are accessible to all. Their goal is to become a certified arborist, caring for trees all throughout the city. Throughout her career Lily hopes to engage more of her community into learning more about the importance and value of environmental sustainability. Some of Lily’s favorite things to do are taking a nice long hike through the forest, crocheting, sewing and spending time with loved ones.
Marco Lomax (he/him)
Tree Care CoordinatorMarco is a recent Northeastern University graduate, holding Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, he has worked as a landscaper and gardener since he was in middle school. He has also worked as a science educator, leading science curriculum development at multiple summer camps. As an undergrad, he worked as a seasonal staff with Boston Parks and Recreation’s Urban Wilds department, planting trees, managing invasive species, and educating volunteers and students about the benefits of native biodiversity. He returned to the Urban Wilds in 2025 to lead the Southwest Boston CDC’s Green Team to restore a large swath of Sherrin Woods in Hyde Park through invasive species management, trail building, and tree care. In his free time, Marco loves riding his bike around Boston, hiking, rock climbing, and cooking.
Aunjoli Das (she/her)
Development and Community SpecialistAunjoli recently completed her Masters in Environmental Science and Policy at Northeastern University. She did her most recent co-op with the MIT Energy Initiative assisting the Climate Action Through Education (CATE) program. She collaborated with teachers who designed climate-focused lessons that met MA educational standards of all subjects including the humanities. She helped execute the first annual Climate Action and Education Conference and delivered curricular demonstrations at the Boston Museum of Science Rise Up Event. Aunjoli was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and earned her B.S. in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences from Northeastern University in 2024. In her free time, she is an aerialist who is passionate about circus arts. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time outside.
Gabe Rodriguez (he/him)
Education and Data CoordinatorGabe developed his love for nature while growing up in the seacoast of New Hampshire. The immediate access to trees and wildlife fostered a sense of stewardship that pushed him to pursue ecology and conservation in college. Gabe graduated from Tufts University in 2024 with a B.S. in biology. He developed his passion for education and community outreach while working at a nearby elementary school during college. Gabe hopes to inform youth on communal green spaces’ importance to the planet and our mental wellbeing. In his free time, Gabe loves skateboarding, biking, and fashion.
David Queeley (he/him)
Green Jobs Equity Job Project ManagerWith over 26 years working with communities, neighborhoods, funders and with state and federal agencies, David specializes in helping build vision, capacity, and constituencies for equitable and sustainable urban initiatives, helping neighborhoods realize inclusive and equitable outcomes. At TB, he’ll be leading a collaborative project between American Forests, PowerCorpsBOS and SFTT called Green Jobs Solution Map. Incorporating STEW-MAP tools from the US Forest Service, the project will identify collaborators, diagram solutions to barriers, and identify green career pathways across metro Boston.

Tree Care AssistantJaden joins the Tree Care Team with prior experience from interning with our tree team and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy. He is a 2025 graduate of PowerCorpsBOS.
Christopher Edwards
Tree Care AssistantWe are thrilled to welcome Christopher Edwards to our Tree Team as a Tree Care Assistant. Christopher has extensive urban greening experience in Boston, having worked at The Rose Kennedy Greenway and the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University with a major in sociology and a minor in psychology. He is also a 2022 alum of PowerCorpsBOS.
