In the spirit of community, Speak for the Trees is proud to host Arbor Week, a week of events to celebrate the power and importance of trees.
Through a series of talks, walks, seedling giveaways (and more!) Arbor Week connects people to their community, their green spaces, and the environment.

- Book talk with Dr. Christine Carmichael about her new book, “Racist Roots”, which explores how systemic racism has led to differences in urban tree canopy coverage and what we can do to help build healthier urban tree canopies is those neighborhoods.
- Seedling Giveaway: With volunteers and partner organizations, we’ll bag & distribute over 500 seedlings
- Forest Bathing: Forest Therapy Guide Tam Willey will lead guided therapeutic walks in Franklin Park and Arnold Arboretum, awakening our senses during and connecting us to nature
