Parker has always loved the trees in the alley behind his house in the Back Bay. Over the past few years the trees have been chopped down. Just a few remain, including Parker’s favorite Ailanthus tree. This tree is the largest left in the alley, but it is slowly dying due to a lack of care and soil compaction from a developer. Though his relationship with the tree remains strong, he isn’t hopeful it will survive.
