Slow down, unplug and awaken your senses on a guided nature therapy experience at the Arnold Arboretum, led by certified forest therapy guide Tam Willey.

In this class you will learn how to take care of your trees. This is the second class needed to complete your Tree Keeper training.

Speak for the Trees has partnered with Emerson College during the Spring semester in the course “Behavioral Economics,” where students propose interventions that will change people’s behavior relating to urban trees. This public conversation aims to bridge the gap between environmental awareness and actionable change, featuring a dynamic discussion among leading activists, artists, and academics. The event will delve into the critical role of art and education in addressing the ecological crisis, exploring themes of representation, creativity, context, and the intersectionality of environmentalism and colonization.

We’ll be bagging a variety of tree species, including Concolor Fir, White Oak, Shagbark Hickory, and Washington Hawthorn in Seaport and would love your help!

As part of Nature of Cities Festival , David Meshoulam, Executive Director of Speak for the Trees, will be participating in a panel sharing on the Lexicon of Change. The panelists will examine ways in which social entrepreneurs and change makers can promote tree equity, accessibility, and urban gardens across cities around the world.

Boston Urban Forest Friends (BUFF) meets on the second Friday of each month from 11am to noon on zoom.
