Tree Giveaway season is here!
Join Speak for the Trees for our Mattapan Tree Giveaway at the Edgewater Food Forest, Saturday, April 27th, 11am-4pm. We are excited to be in partnership with the Edgewater Neighborhood Association, the Edgewater Food Forest and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
We will have 5 amazing species available:
Kousa Dogwood – Sourwood – Southern Magnolia – Carolina Silverbell – Japanese Stewartia
This event is also to celebrate the completion of our EPA funded tree walks in the communities of Dorchester, Mattapan, and East Boston. These tree walks aimed to raise awareness for the importance of trees in our urban environment and the vital role they play in improving the community. We were supported by an Environmental Justice grant from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Mattapan homeowners and residents are highly encouraged to sign-up.
